A Little Challenge

Here's the deal...I have some questions. I'll pose it, then you should comment on it.

I'm really tired lately! Why is that? How could technology help this problem? Could it possibly be due to all this technology?

Ready? Go!

oh! i was gonna say that it's because you're up at 3:38 am, because that's when planet info said you posted. but now i see that your blog differs. i feel that i am partly to blame because i recently told erik that planet info seemed to be stamping with greenwich time, and he made it just -5 everyone, and it does seem to work better now, but apparently your feed is smarter than that.

yeesh! (could you say that in that voice you do? ;)

i'll write something more serious later. i'm glad you weren't up at 3:38 after all!

Technology is probably both the cause, and in small ways, a solution too. This clearly banks upon what you define as technology. Solutions to get you off your tired feeling could be just some television, maybe a long drive, or a vacation. All these will have technology. The only worst thing, is technology as a solution goal, rather than a path to a much relaxing, (and possibly) human-connected time.

maybe you should turn off your computer and tv and and ipod and everything for a while! see my last blog post for crabby elaboration.

The tiredness could have something to do with the decreasing amounts of sunlight as we're drawing towards the winter months. (i.e.: could be some mild Seasonal Affective Disorder kicking in)

If that's the case, you might be able to use technology of some sort to help with the problem. Among other things, it seems like exposure to full-spectrum lighting and possibly just leaving your blinds open in your room in the morning (so you get some of the sunrise coming in) might have some benefit.

Josh replies: Actually, that's exactly what I was thinking :-)

Maybe your fatigue is due to a semester of really hard work...technology may be able to help though...experiment by hitting the snooze button tomorrow morning...
